Just put up a bit of what I've been listening to on these chilly days in Taiwan. Enjoy.

Breakbot - You Put A Spell On Me

All Of The Lights.

Been a bit busy lately so I haven't had a chance to update as much as I would have liked to. But, Kanye West put out his new album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" and I dare say that it is one of the best (if not the best) albums of the year. All of the lights is an amazing track that features everyone but Jesus himself. Nah, but really... it features Rihanna, Elton John, Fergie, John Legend, The-Dream, Ryan Leslie, Tony Williams, Charlie Wilson, La Roux’s Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, and Kid Cudi... Jesus. LISTEN TO IT, download it. Nicki Minaj has officially made Billboard records for having the second highest first-week sales by a female MC in Billboard history (cough cough...Lil Kim, you suck... cough cough). Holla. I've posted a new bonus track off of her album Pink Friday below with some of her other tracks on the album.... Oh and I posted a new Robyn song just for fun. Enjoy.

Nicki Minaj - Wavayahand

Kanye West ft. Beyonce - See Me Now

Nicki Minaj - Moment 4 Life

Nicki Minaj ft. Kanye West - Blazin

Robyn - Get Myself Together

Rolling in the Deep. The Blues. and Pink Friday.

Lately the sweet and savory tunes of UK soul songstresses such as ADELE, Duffy and Amy Winehouse have been exactly what the doctor prescribed for this cloudy month of November. I listen to these tracks and get lost in the vocals as well as their simple lyrics. It's this kind of music that makes me want to move to paris and spend my days writing music and performing on street corners. Beautiful stuff. Here is a track from ADELE's forthcoming album to be released early 2011. Laura Marling also just released a new single, Blues Run the Game, which is a cover. She performs it here for a BBC 1 DJ... she is absolutely beautiful. But now it's the weekend... so Nicki Minaj takes over my ipod with her new album Pink Friday that's to be released next week. It's amazing of course. Here are a few tracks off the album.

Nicki Minaj ft. Drake - Moment 4 Life

Nicki Minaj Ft. Kanye - Blazin

I hate Seagulls.... And Pigeons.

Kate Nash's love songs always have a way of making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I do admit I enjoy a good love song every so often. And I love Kate Nash, so here ya go.

It's Barbie.

Nicki goes in on both of these tracks. Really excited for her album to drop this month. And Bon Iver along side Nicki and Kanye? Didn't see that coming but I don't hate it.

Nicki Minaj ft. Eminem - Roman's Revenge

Kanye West ft. Bon Iver, Jay-Z, Rick Ross & Nicki Minaj

Welcome to the 22nd century. Everybody's Dancin

Been listening to a plethora of music lately. Laura Marling is a folk singer from London that has a beautiful voice and thought provoking lyrics that make good for a rainy day; I am really loving her stuff. School of Seven Bells consists of twin sisters Claudia and Alejandra Dehaza as well as Ben Curtis from Scret Machines and their chemistry is amazing to listen to. Riding around on my scooter in Taiwan listening to Kelis however has been the highlight of my week. Her new album, "Flesh Tones," is a polar opposite from her early stuff but packs a punch... I am in love with this whole album. Enjoy :)

DeerHunter - Helicopter (Diplo/Lunice Mix)

School of Seven Bells - Heart is Strange (ActiveChildMix)

Wise Blood - Solo (4 Claire)

So Soak It Up.

Got to Experience my first Typhoon this weekend in Taiwan. Spent the days cuddled up inside with some friends, watching movies, swapping music and enjoying each others company. Started listening to this band 'Houses' that I enjoy a lot... Take a listen. I also posted the youtube video just cause I love the picture. And shout out to Aussie land for Bag Raiders - Way back home... it's a good one (i put the video on here but there is also a link so you can download it from another site)

Top 5 from Taiwan (9.14.2010)

So I'm in Taiwan. I'll be here for 5 months studying dance at Taipei National University of the arts. I love it here. The people, culture, food, mountains, you name it... everything is amazing. Above is a picture I took out my window; I get to wake up to that everyday. So for the next 5 months I'll be on the other side of the world, dancing and trying to find out a little bit more about this place. Anywho, here are my top pics for the week (sorry for my lack of music posts lately).

Very sorry for the lack of updates lately. Here are my top 5 for this past week... Obviously I'm feeling Arcade Fire right now, they are beautiful. Here they are playing in a pub in Europe before Funeral was released. It's pretty amazing. So much raw talent in this band. I've also been listening to Foals lately. Spanish Sahara is beautifull.

Like a Lilo loosing air.

It's been a while since my last post, I know, but it's been time much needed to think and regroup. Many-a-happenings have taken place since I last posted anything on here so I feel as though I should take a moment to recap. I went to texas, and it was amazing. Clouds have never before seemed so beautiful and awe inspiring to me; I will always hold a special place in my heart for the lone star state. That being said, I am now in Bermuda for a bit. Waking up each day to teach dance to little ones and spend the rest of my time laying on pink shores, swimming in crystal clear waters and relaxing with friends has to be the hardest way to live your life. ;)
I feel more inspired that ever. I took the picture above in my friends back yard. We like to play with lights.

Swimming Holes and Hillbillies.

So Weaver and I found a pretty cool spot in Durham the other day. The "Eno Quarry" is a lovely little place in the small town of Orange, Durham and sort of looks like something you would see on True Blood. After about a 20 minute hike through the wilderness you find yourself here, eagerly wanting to jump into the water that who knows what lies beneath. This is definitely one of the neatest places i've found in a while .... I can't wait to go back (this time with food and a float or two... lesson learned)

Catching up. Baldy to Present.

About four weeks ago I Started ADF in Durham and it's been quite interesting so far. The classes are awesome and I managed to get into this amazing choreographer's piece that we will perform at the end of the festival. Any who... Whilst here in the land of Modern dance and bad haircuts, I ran into my friend Kate who is also doing the program. Kate's aunt has a ridiculously beautiful beach hose on Bald Head Island (and island where no cars are allowed... you ride around in golf carts .... and Oprah has a house) and we went for a weekend. Needless to say we had an amazing time and the late night golf cart rides were the best part of the trip. Jellyfish were a tad bit of a problem though, someone's bootie found this out the hard way.

It's Humid. But I'm Happy.

So im in Durham, NC participating in ADF (American Dance Festival). I've decided to start this blog ... so here goes. I'm using this blog to share things with people; things which I find interesting, funny, beautiful etc. Music is a huge part of my life so I plan on having a lot of music post's here each week that you folks can download and get down to. Sooo yea, here we go. Enjoy kids!
