Astronautalis. This is our Science.

Ok... one point for this amazing album artwork and two points for teaming up with Tegan Quin on a track. For some reason that's unknown, I'm just now hearing about Charles Andrew Bothwell (the mind behind the Indie Hip-hop alias Astronautalis.) He's based out of Minneapolis and has just released his fourth full length. Yes fourth. It really kills me when people like this slip under my radar. Anyway, check it out, I promise you won't be disappointed. Enjoy :)

MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS

Marina and The Diamonds has been busy unveiling two new tracks from her long anticipated second album and I must say, she does not disappoint. There is however some controversy over wether or not she has sold herself out to become the next "Gaga" wannabe. Personally, I think that accusation is completely bullshit. You still hear the same Marina on both of these tracks, it just so happens that one was produced by a mega-hit producer. But, the acoustic version of 'Radioactive' is the bees knees and dare say I like it even better than the original. I've posted both videos as well. Enjoy.

Ring My Bell, Jhameel

Donnis has put out a new track that I couldn't be more happy to download and blast ridiculously loud as I ride down the highway with my windows down this summer. I mean the vocals are set to the beat of Funky Town, what more could you ask for? And how could I have not known about this Jhameel character before now? He's from Berkley, Asian. and for lack of a better word, Fierce. Get into it. ;)

Calvin Harris - Feel So Close (Nero Remix)

City and Colour - Fragile Bird (Sonixx Dubstep Mix)

Summer - Beer drinking music.

Summer is in full throttle and I've been pretty busy traveling lately. But I've finally got some down time here in Texas to post some things I've been listening to lately. Calvin Harris had recently released a new EP "Bounce" and I have a radio rip of his newest single that has been "officially" released yet. I love Calvin Harris and I love that he knows how to create a bomb ass summer tune to get me bobbing my head to the beat. Lets see... I've also been listening to the new Fleet Foxes album (need I say more?) as well as Molly Wagger, Tune-Yards and Metronomy. Molly Wagger is a four person electro/folk band from scotland and they just released their new album "Flambeaux" on July 4th. Their single "Steve" has some great beats and melancholy melodies that I think we rarely hear from artists these days. Tune-Yards' lead female vocalist really does everything for me on their track "Bizness" and the video is pretty cool as well. I've posted some other summer tunes I've been listening to as well. Listen to these with your windows down. Enjoy.

Beirut's Back

Beirut is realeasing their new single East Harlem EP on 6/14 and it sounds amazing. Beirut has been out of the circuit since 2009 but I'm glad to hear they've returned with an amazing come back track and I can't wait to hear more. Enjoy.

Nicki Minaj [Catch Me]

A new bonus track just leaked from Nicki Minaj entitled 'Catch Me.' And different from most of the tracks on her album, where she is more or less sugar sweet and cute, the beat goes hard and Nicki is in the mood to fight... Over a man. Check it out. Enjoy.

Beyonce... [1+1]

Beyonce does it again. Couldn't find good quality download to give you so I posted her performance from the American Idol finale last night. Too bad no one in the competition could sing like this one. Enjoy.

Bon Iver

Bon Iver released a new track today off of his upcoming self titled LP to be released June 21st. It's everything you would expect and more from a Bon Iver tune and leaves me anxiously waiting his album to drop. I can't wait. Anyway, I've also posted a tune from a Bon Iver like band called The Middle East from Australia. I love this track. Also, Wise Blood released a new track ... thought I would post this one to put a little spice in the mix. Enjoy

The Middle East - Blood

Wise Blood - Penthouse

Rolling In the HEAT

It's the beginning of summer and the need for great tunes, car rides with the windows down, and wind blowing in your hair are upon us. Here are a few tunes I'll be kicking off my summer with; maybe they'll ignite the summer in you as well. Enjoy.

Australian duo Kito & Reija Lee just released their Ep and they are killing it with their rendition of dubstep or "luvstep." I've posted one of their older tracks which isn't on their Ep, Sweet Talk. I've also posted a minimix of their Ep and remix of This City. Enjoy :)

21 and then some

ADELE's new album was released today and it is, for lack of a better description, simply amazing. Take a listen to a few tracks from the album below and watch the video of her live performance of 'Someone Like You' on the BRIT awards. Enjoy.

TEED = Awesomeness

Ok so TEED, aka Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, have blown my mind. Don't know why I haven't heard of this band earlier but I must say, they do the trick. Just take a listen and Enjoy. (sorry all I could find was a video)

I Follow Rivers

If you weren't already aware, Lykke Li is putting out her second studio album later this year and has already released a few singles from it for our listening pleasure. Below I've posted the video from her latest single, "I Follow Rivers." I really cannot get enough of her. Cut Copy is also releasing a sophomore album entitled "Zonoscope," which I've been listening to non stop since it leaked onto the internet a few days back. They are one of my favorites ... enjoy ;)

Cut Copy- Pharaohs and Pyramids
Cut Copy - Corner of the Sky
James Blake - I Never Learnt to Share Sound (remedy Remix)

It's Britney Bitch.

What can I say say? Since I was eight years old, I've had a complete obsession with her. She reminds me of my childhood and my sister(minus the dark, shave your head days)... both good things. So yeah, I love Britney Spears. Yea i said it. Anywho, here is her new single. Don't lie, you know you like it.

Kung Fu Is Hard When It's Cold

First post of the New Year. Wow, it's 2011? Really? So I've been pretty busy lately, which would explain my month long hiatus from posting anything. Sorry about that. Taiwan is actually cold now, who knew that would happen? There is no indoor heating which means you are always freezing... always. But my time here will soon be coming to an end. Lately I've been listening to some tunes to get me through the winter days and help me forget about leaving this beautiful environment. Anyway, hope you like em. Enjoy.
